Hunting

All of the department species live in the North-West Landes regions :

- stag, roe-deer, wild boar, for the big mammals, for which the populations have increased in the last twenty years,
- the migrating terrestrial ones: lark, wood pigeon, woodcock... which hibernate in favorable habitats,
- the water birds,
- the protected, rare and particular species. The ashy crane migrates and hibernates in this region. The otter and the mink of Europe sont toujours are always present around the rivers and the humid areas.
